Clerk is a fast growing, San Francisco based developer tool company with a globally distributed team, providing authentication and user management infrastructure for modern applications. I joined as a Senior Product Designer and spent almost two years working across the website, marketing, and brand systems, helping the company communicate complex technical features in a clear and visually compelling way.

My work covered a wide range of areas. I designed and shipped new website pages and sections, prepared assets for animations, and created marketing materials for social posts, physical events, and swag. I made sure the brand stayed consistent across every channel, from the website to social media to real world touchpoints.

Working within a large team on a developer focused product meant close collaboration with engineers, marketers, sales, product designers, and other stakeholders to understand how each feature worked before figuring out how to best represent it visually. As part of the marketing team, we tested different approaches to improve how people understood the product and its benefits, producing visual content for the Blog, X, Instagram, and YouTube. I also contributed to the visual presence of the company at events such as Stripe Sessions, Next.js Conf, and React Miami.

Also throughout this work, I used Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT to help build and implement new pages, sections and effects directly on the website and in marketing materials. This sped up the process of turning designs into working implementations without extra developer involvement for every small change.

Overall, working at a company the size of Clerk taught me a great deal about collaborating within a larger, remote team, managing my own workload, dividing work across projects, and digging into product capabilities and documentation to translate them into clear, effective design.
