Artem is my friend, and the brief he came with was harder than it sounded. Professional portfolios usually pick a side - a polished CV that says nothing about the person, or a personality piece nobody takes seriously. He wanted both on the same page: proof he'd closed real revenue across 40+ SaaS teams, and something that actually tells his story.

Moodboarding took us somewhere crazy. Artem grew up in Kerch, Ukraine, and the moment he points to as the start of everything is a 56K modem taking his family phone line in 2001. So the personal story section got built out of exactly that - real childhood photographs, memories, the visual mood of an early-2000s internet. It's a shout out to millennial times, and it works because it's his, and resonates with many exploring his site.

The professional half stayed sharp against it: sleek monochrome cut with vibrant gradients drawn from ocean depth and light refracting under water - a nod to the six months he spent at sea as a marine engineering cadet before moving into tech. Same instinct behind the skeuomorphic direction. Artem likes things you can take apart, physical things - so the icons and illustrations were built to feel real, like objects with weight rather than flat vectors.

I designed the full layout from scratch and built it in Framer, with micro-interactions that reward scrolling without ever getting between a hiring manager and what they came to read.

The result does something most professional portfolios don't: the nostalgia and the numbers sit together without undercutting each other. Artem now sends one url to recruiters, hiring managers, and founders, and it does the introducing for him.
